Senator Ward requested that the reconsideration on SENATE BILL                 
NO. 103 am An Act relating to a curriculum for Native language                 
education; and providing for an effective date be taken up. The bill           
was before the Senate on reconsideration.

Senator Ward moved that the bill be returned to second reading for             
the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 5.               
(Amendment No. 4 was not offered.) Without objection, the bill was             
returned to second reading.

	Delete in a district in which a majority of the students are                  
Alaska Natives                                                                 
Page 3, line 13:                                                               
	Delete .                                                                      
	Insert  and any school district with Alaska Native students                   
may establish a local Native language curriculum advisory board for            
each school with Alaska Native students in their district.                     
                                                                               
Senator Ward moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 5. Without                
objection, Amendment No. 5 was adopted.
